Job Description

WE WANT YOU TO

Be familiar with current immigration policies, procedures, and administrative practices to effectively support the processing of applications and the delivery of immigration services across a wide range of case types. Manage the full lifecycle of work permits including temporary, extensions, grants, renewals and work permit amendments. Guide employees through the immigration process, providing clear communication on requirements and timelines. Track permit expirations and proactively initiate renewal processes. Review, verify, and organize employee documentation (police clearances, medicals, passports, qualifications) ensuring authenticity and compliance. Prepare immigration reports including application activity to management on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis. Maintain accurate, confidential records of all staff immigration statuses and expiry dates within the HRIS. Ensure processes are in compliance with Immigration Regulations and in-house policies and procedures. Keep abreast of changes in Cayman Islands immigration policies and update internal procedures accordingly. Liaise with relevant government departments, including the WORC (Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman), regarding application status and documentation requirements. Develop and maintain a strong understanding and knowledge of company policies and procedures, primarily focused on immigration. Provide secondary administrative support to the various HR functional areas depending on the business need. Undertake project work and ad hoc tasks, as required.

DO YOU HAVE

An associate degree in a related field and/or CISHRP HR certification or similar, preferred. At least 4 years’ HR experience in a similar capacity; previous experience in a complex administrative role is beneficial. Comprehensive knowledge of the Cayman Islands Immigration Regulations and work permit application process. General knowledge of applicable employment related laws. Working knowledge of Recruitment and Immigration best practices. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a collaborative team. Previous experience working with and accurately maintaining HR Information Systems and documentation. The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Exceptional customer service with the ability to deal effectively and professionally with internal & external clients. Excellent communication skills with experience writing for different media channels (print, on-line and social media) as well as the ability to interact effectively with internal clients across all levels of the business. Adept planning, administrative and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities. Strong attention to detail and achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks. Demonstrate teamwork skills with the ability to prioritise effectively, consistently manage multiple projects to meet competing deadlines and operate in a fast paced, ever changing, dynamic environment. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio) Flexibility to work overtime that may be required from time to time to meet deadlines.
