Store Clerk

Description of Job

• Receive customers and assist them with the selection of merchandise
• Greet, interact and monitor customers to assist the store in loss prevention
• Restock shelves and coolers, ensuring products are faced and labeled correctly
• Help customers in billing and payment processes at the stores counter
• Communicate information about product availability, nutritional information and ingredients
• Maintain the outlook of the store through dusting, cleaning and restocking merchandise on the shelves
• Handle record keeping and re-ordering systems
• Open and close the store (as needed), following all security and safety protocols

Experience Required

2-3 years of experience in retail, convenience stores, or customer service roles

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Positive attitude and a willingness to help customers and coworkers
• Able to handle fast-paced environments and multitask efficiently
• Basic math and cash handling skills
• Reliable, punctual, and honest with a strong work ethic
• Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work independently or as part of a small team
