Job Description

Reporting to the Audit Directors and Partners, responsible for managing a portfolio of audit clients.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to

  • Reviewing detailed audit work of various insurance and investment structures and related vehicles;
  • Reviewing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, UK GAAP and International Accounting Standards;
  • Managing multiple projects;
  • Researching accounting and regulatory issues;
  • Managing a large and complex client portfolio,
  • Playing an active role in the management and supervision of the personnel within the audit practice;
  • Developing client proposals, presentations & other client related documents.

Act as the Audit Quality Performance Liaison Partner Delegate on all matters relating to the Quality Performance Audit and reporting process; Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee CEAC/GRIP processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate and monitor CRGs for timely completion and adherence to standards
  • Administer and maintain the Engage platform for risk-related workflows
  • Review and approve CLMS – Engagement Letter & Representation Letter submissions
  • Maintain and update portals to ensure current and accurate information
  • Conduct and evaluate Compliance Testing (RCP) to identify and mitigate risks
  • Track and process WIFJ/OTP incoming and outgoing requests efficiently
  • Monitor and assess EQCR KIG compliance and handle waiver requests
  • Implement and enforce ISQM1 compliance controls across Risk Management functions
  • Identify and respond to Cayman Risk Alerts, ensuring timely action
  • Review, approve, and escalate queries via the Web HelpDesk system for Risk Management
  • Monitor and validate client terminations for compliance with Firm policies
  • Develop and maintain policies and templates for risk management processes
  • Prepare and deliver QRCs as required for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in coordinating and executing PCAOB and Auditor Oversight Inspection readiness programs
  • Lead and supervise quarterly compliance monitoring and engagement sample testing initiatives
  • Ensure governance and integrity of Practice Management Systems data
  • Collaborate and integrate operational compliance processes with Infrastructure support functions
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to risk management policies and procedures
  • Establish and maintain a formalized monitoring program for risk processes
  • Oversee and ensure accuracy of Transparency Report preparation in line with regulatory and Firm requirements

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain CRM/Engage systems for risk-related activities
  • Administer and track GRIP processes for compliance and reporting
  • Review and validate Engagement Letters prior to signing
  • Analyze and assess FS Restatement reviews for accuracy and compliance
  • Manage and troubleshoot iManage access, queries, and controls
  • Administer and configure DocuSign for secure document execution
  • Review and maintain Compliance Manager acknowledgements for completeness
  • Update and monitor Risk Register for Risk Management activities
  • Assist in reviewing and negotiating contracts, STCs, vendor agreements, and sponsorships in collaboration with Risk Management.

The requirements: Applicant must hold a recognized professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CA, ACCA, etc.) with at least five to six years of relevant external audit experience, preferably with a Big 4 accounting firm. This position requires audit experience in the financial services industry in addition to extensive knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, and a highly motivated individual with strong management and communication skills, attention for detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. The candidate will need to be able to work a flexible schedule as overtime is required.
