Job Description

The Sewer Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing manual labor related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of sewer and water systems. This role requires physical work in trenches, confined spaces, and environments involving raw sewage and water. The ideal candidate must be safety conscious, dependable, and willing to work in challenging conditions with proper protective equipment. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities

  • Perform sewer and water system maintenance, repair, and installation.
  • Conduct manual labor, including extensive use of a shovel and other hand tools.
  • Work in trenches, confined spaces, and tight areas as required by job tasks.
  • Safely handle and work around raw sewage and water using proper protective equipment.
  • Assist in the repair of sewer and water lines, including excavation and backfilling.
  • Operate basic tools and equipment related to sewer maintenance tasks.
  • Follow all safety procedures, wearing mandatory PPE at all times.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and support other crew members during field operations.
  • Perform other duties related to sewer and water maintenance as assigned.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding labor, including lifting, bending, and working in uneven or confined areas.
  • Willingness to work in and around raw sewage and water with appropriate safety equipment.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and use PPE correctly.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Previous sewer or water maintenance experience preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Hourly wage: $12.00 – $21.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Working Hours: Monday to Sat 8am to 5pm
