Samuels T/A Fix It Mr. Fix It General Maintenance & Construction is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Carpenter / Mason with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will be a "hybrid" tradesman capable of transitioning between structural masonry and fine carpentry. You will be responsible for ensuring all projects are completed to the highest structural and aesthetic standards. Duties & Responsibilities Masonry Works: Laying concrete blocks, bricks, and stones; mixing mortar and grout; applying plaster/rendering to walls and ceilings; installing floor and wall tiles. Carpentry Works: Constructing and repairing structural frameworks (roofing, wall studding, floor joists); installing doors, windows, and cabinetry; building formwork for concrete pours. Blueprints: Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, layouts, and specifications to ensure accuracy in measurements and materials. Project Management: Estimating material needs for specific tasks and coordinating with the site supervisor to meet deadlines. Maintenance: Troubleshooting and repairing structural issues in existing residential and commercial properties. Safety: Adhering to all site safety protocols and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment. Skills & Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 7 years of documented experience in both carpentry and masonry. Technical Proficiency: Mastery of hand and power tools (circular saws, levels, mixers, grinders, and pneumatic nailers). Attention to Detail: Ability to produce work that is level, plumb, and square without constant supervision. Adaptability: Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and switching between different trade tasks daily. Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work outdoors in the Cayman heat.
