Pastry Cook

The Reef Beach Resort, East End, is searching of an experienced Pasty Cook to join our team. The Pastry Cook supports the pastry department by preparing high‑quality baked goods, desserts, and specialty items according to restaurant standards. This role requires precision, creativity, and strong time‑management skills to ensure consistent quality and timely service. Prepare pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked items following established recipes and plating standards

• Assist in the creation of new menu items, seasonal specials, and dessert presentations
• Measure, mix, and bake ingredients using proper techniques and equipment
• Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and appearance across all pastry items
• Set up and stock the pastry station before service

Quality & Safety

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and allergen‑handling procedures
• Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality before use
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunctions

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years previous experience in a bakery, pastry shop, or restaurant pastry department preferred
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry fundamentals, and dessert plating
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
