About the Role Reporting to the Business Development Executive, the Business Development Administrator works within the global law firm's Business Development & Marketing team to provide administrative assistance to the team of business development professionals supporting the practice groups. The Business Development & Marketing team brings together practice group expertise to maintain, grow and support client relationships and law firm referral relationships.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Processing expense claims and monitoring budgets
  • Supporting the planning and execution of overseas business development trips
  • Co-ordinating attendance at industry conferences and events
  • Maintaining and logging data in the firm's Client Relationship Management ("CRM") database
  • Assisting with competitor, industry and event research
  • Supporting the preparation of submissions for awards and legal directories
  • Assisting with the preparation of credential statements, pitches and other materials

EXPERIENCE

What You Bring In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally gained from a professional services firm, coupled with a degree in Marketing, Business Management or a related field
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential
  • Candidates should be highly organised and detail focused with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Candidates should be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, being able to work on their own initiative as necessary
  • Self-motivated, pro-active and driven to improve at all times
  • The successful candidate must be proficient in MS applications including, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience using a client relationship management system would be advantageous
