Spa Director

Spa Director Job Summary The Director of Spa is a dynamic and motivated leader responsible for organizing, controlling, coordinating, directing, and managing all operations of the Hibiscus Spa at our luxury resort. This role focuses on delivering exceptional guest satisfaction and quality service while achieving and exceeding financial goals. The Spa Director handles short- and long-term planning, day-to-day operations, budget recommendations, marketing and business plans, and ensures the effective execution of approved objectives. As the primary leader of the spa team, you will directly supervise employees, prioritize the safety of internal and external guests, and report directly to the Resort Manager. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Hibiscus Spa team to attract, retain, and motivate high-performing employees. Responsibilities include hiring, training, development, empowerment, coaching, counseling, performance and salary reviews, problem resolution, open communication, discipline, and recommending appropriate actions.
• Implement company-wide programs while developing and managing property-specific initiatives. Operate the spa in full compliance with resort standards, Cayman Islands Labour Laws and Regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure exceptional member/guest satisfaction, minimize liabilities, and maximize profitability.
• Develop, recommend, implement, and manage the spa's annual and long-term operational, sales, marketing, capital, revenue, expense, and profit goals to meet or exceed expectations of ownership and corporate management.
• Proactively resolve guest/member complaints and issues to maintain the highest levels of satisfaction and service quality.
• Maintain the spa facility in first-class condition, protecting and enhancing assets through proper maintenance, security, and upkeep.
• Participate actively in community and professional organizations to promote visibility, build a positive image for the Hibiscus Spa and resort, and support future growth.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as required by business needs.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Spa/Wellness Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 9 years’ experience as a Spa Director (or equivalent senior leadership role in a luxury spa environment).
• Prior hospitality industry experience.
• Professional qualifications in Skin Care Training and Massage Therapy.
• In-depth knowledge of laws, regulations, and compliance requirements specific to spa operations (including Cayman Islands regulations).
• Strong expertise in budgeting, payroll management, and financial oversight.
• Proven experience in employee relations, including team leadership and conflict resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Desired/Preferred

• Experience with Kronos or similar workforce management systems.
• Bilingual skills (English and additional language relevant to our international guest base).
• Demonstrated track record in a luxury resort or high-end spa setting, with a focus on wellness and guest experience excellence.
