Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and flexible 1:1 Specialist Support Teacher to support students across KS1, KS2, and KS3 who are working below age-related expectations in literacy and maths. The role involves delivering personalised interventions, including structured phonics programmes for students with dyslexia, alongside targeted maths support. Work will take place both in class and through 1:1 individual sessions. Key Responsibilities Deliver tailored phonics and literacy programmes for struggling readers, including those with dyslexia Provide 1:1 maths support to address gaps in numeracy and understanding Support students within the classroom and through targeted intervention sessions Monitor progress and adapt support to meet individual needs Work collaboratively with teachers and parents Requirements Experience with diverse learners, particularly ADHD and ASD Experience making and using learning passports to support students Strong understanding of phonics-based teaching approaches Experience supporting maths learning across primary and lower secondary levels Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours Desirable Qualification in dyslexia or specific learning difficulties Teaching or relevant educational qualification
