The ultimate goal of the Food and Beverage Host Team Member is to create “Raving Fan Guests”. You will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks all to be performed with the sole purpose of exceeding guest expectations. You will be given responsibility for assuring the highest quality of guest service, and for assuring the best dining experience for each and every guest.

Due to the wide range of responsibilities and anticipated high volume, we require all host candidates to be highly skilled and similarly experienced. You will be required to attend the C.I. Government’s Sanitation Seminar, even if you already have a certificate in this area, and achieve a passing grade. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who requires little or no direction. They must work well under pressure and be professional, cooperative, supportive, reliable, fun, positive, honest, knowledgeable, extremely personable, agreeable and open to new ideas. Furthermore, it is absolutely essential for all of our team members to possess a strong work ethic, a pleasant disposition and a team-orientated attitude.
This position requires flexibility in regards to shift scheduling. You are expected to work any shift including days, nights, split shifts, weekends and holidays. Schedule requests are considered on a first come first serve basis, however, the needs of the restaurant must come first. The ultimate goal of the Kitchen Helper/Assistant Team Member is to create “Raving Fan Guests”. This position is critical to the success of the entire restaurant. You will work with others in a fast-paced environment to consistently produce the highest quality product possible in the shortest possible length of time. You will report directly to the Kitchen Management team and will work along with the entire kitchen staff to collectively help make the Tropical Trader Restaurants the best restaurants on the island!
Your primary responsibility will be to work as a cooperative and supportive team player. Your goal, along with the rest of the kitchen staff, will be to consistently prepare, produce and deliver the highest quality of product by following recipes to their exact specification in the shortest possible time.
Due to the wide range of responsibilities, we require all candidates to have some restaurant kitchen experience. You will be required to attend the C.I. Government’s Sanitation Seminar, even if you already have a certificate in this area. The ideal candidate will be professional, reliable, creative, fun and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
This position requires maintaining flexibility in regards to scheduling including availability during weekends, holidays and evenings. Kitchen Assistants will be required to work long hours and perhaps a split-shift schedule – several hours during the day and then again at night.
