Shift Lead

Pico is a fast casual Mexican-inspired restaurant located in Cayman Technology Center, Grand Cayman. We’re hiring a Shift Lead to join our busy team. As a shift lead you must have a passion for delivering the highest level of hospitality, be a team player, reliable, punctual, self motivated, have an ability to work independently, possess excellent leadership and communication skills and thrive under pressure. You will perform all duties performed by line servers, with additional responsibility for supporting the manager by overseeing shift operations including product preparation, line checks, guest relations, restaurant maintenance, team supervision, shift opening, closing and transitions, inventory management and cash handling / POS duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in all positions on the serve line
• At least 2 years of team/shift lead experience in a food service or retail environment preferred
• Knowledge of Mexican food preferred
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written
• Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Understanding of Point of Sales (POS) functions
• Possess basic mathematical and quantitative skills in order to execute cash drawer management duties including and the ability to conduct counts
• Understands and reinforces food safety, sanitation and workplace safety policies
• Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed throughout shift
• Availability to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and/or holidays

Wage is CI$10-12/hr, based on experience. Standard benefits will apply. This is a full time position and all applicants must be able to work holidays, weekends and split shifts. You may be required to work shifts at our sister restaurant Water & the Elephant, as required by the Manager.
