Pipe Fitters are tasked with various responsibilities that are fundamental to the operational effectiveness of numerous industrial systems. Their primary duties include: Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout requirements. Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipe to required shapes using hand and power tools or machines. Securing pipes to walls and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment. Installing and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, including pumps and valves. Testing piping systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges. Complying with all safety protocols and regulations during installation and maintenance. Collaborating with other trades, such as plumbers, HVAC technicians, and project managers, to ensure cohesive work environments and operations.
