Description of Job

• Repairs, maintains, and removes roofs and the installation of new ones
• Measures roof to calculate the quantities of required materials
• Installed vapor barriers and layers of insulation
• Inspected composition shingles, slate shingles and metal roofs for leaks
• Applies cold process roof coatings
• Erected rigging
• Determined materials requirements for roof repairs
• Inspected problem roofs to find out the best way to repair them
• Detects and replaces damaged joists and plywood
• Installs shingles, asphalt, metal, or other materials to make the roof watertight

Qualifications

Maximum of 5-6 years relevant work experience. Previous experience with the installation of all types of roofing systems. Strong problem-solving skills and high-level workmanship. Must be punctual and willing to work overtime when needed
