Job Description

The Vice President / Managing Director has various responsibilities within The Pyramid Hospitality Group. Some of these responsibilities will include the successful leadership of local and international portfolios, meeting and exceeding financial objectives. This proactive leader will also liaise with the Senior Vice President of Operations, other Corporate Executives and various other disciplines throughout the Resort to ensure accountability within guest and employee relations, risk management, internal financial and operational controls, budget, as well as protecting and ensuring growth of owners' assets.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to the following

  • Establish and maintain quality standards of the Hotel and Resort
  • Drives associate experience - ensure that benchmark is either met or exceeded
  • Develops and updates business plans for resorts and monitors financial performance
  • Drives RevPAR, RevPAR Index and Revenue per guest
  • Administers company policy and procedures
  • Hands-on Leadership of various teams
  • Drives GOP, Flow thru and NOI per key
  • Ensures the overall success of designated Resorts and Hotels within the Pyramid Brand
  • Resolve high level guest and employee conflicts as they arise
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture, focusing on staff development, employee engagement, and leadership training
  • Act as a liaison between operations and stakeholders/owners, reporting on performance
  • Oversee daily operations for multiple properties or departments to ensure consistency, quality, and high service standards
  • Develop and execute long-term business strategies, including brand growth, market share acquisition, and innovation in service
  • Other duties based on business needs.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration or related field required- 10+ Years Hospitality Leadership experience required
  • Master’s in Hospitality Management degree preferred.
  • Additional prior experience in Vice President and Managing Director Capacities
  • Extensive experience in hospitality leadership, often requiring senior management roles required
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, financial acumen, and leadership capabilities required
  • Strong financial acumen, project management, leadership, and analytical abilities.
  • High willingness to travel, often up to 20–40% of the time, for multi-unit roles
  • Advanced proficiency in budgeting, Profit & Loss, and business planning mandatory.
  • Minimum Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven managerial problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability for people development and employee engagement by mentoring, motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, and holding team members accountable.
  • Must be flexible to work early mornings, late evenings, public holidays and weekends.
